  S. E. Steele was born in the South. Though raised poor on a small family farm, Steele attempts to use that upbringing to try and make a mark on the world through writing. Steele went to a small school, but excelled in the arts and was able to obtain a scholarship to a small liberal arts university. Using that education, Steele reinforces the writing with perspective learned there.

With the first book in what will be an upcoming trilogy, S. E. Steele introduces Sarah, a Mormon pioneer making her way through a tough world of Mormon polygamy in the 1880s. S.E. Steele has been reading and writing for many years, but with this love of writing and the encouragement of friends, has decided to make this first book "A Decent Lie" public.
